Kitimat was built in the 1950’s and is one of BC’s youngest coastal communities. Main industries include an aluminum smelter, a pulp and paper mill and a petrochemical manufacturer. Join our dynamic healthcare team in the oceanside community of Kitimat, BC. Our medical staff is focused on providing exceptional care to the region. If you have passion for rural healthcare and desire to experience the Pacific Northwest lifestyle, this position may be for you!

We are seeking FP-Anesthetists. The Anesthesia commitment will be 2 days per week, and every 2nd weekend on call. There are additional opportunities to work in the Emergency department or in Primary Care. New graduates are welcome and will be well supported by the local physicians and regional specialists.

Kitimat General Hospital and Health Centre integrates acute care, residential care, public health and community health in one facility. The hospital contains 20 acute care beds, including 2 maternity beds. There is a regular rotation of visiting specialists from nearby Terrace and other parts of the province.
