Wide blue skies and the rolling foothills of the Northern Rockies surround Dawson Creek. The city is also known as the Mile Zero City, as it marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States. Dawson Creek has a population of approximately 12,500. It provides primary service to a population of approximately 20,000 and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region of 60,000. There are eleven elementary schools, one middle school and one secondary school. The Northern Lights College provides adult education.

Northern Health is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Preference will be given to Radiologists who wish to make Dawson Creek their year-round home; however, a blended job plan including partial remote work would be negotiable with a Radiologist or group that can meet our patients’ needs.
Potential additional income in the Northeast region includes vacation coverage for Fort St John (two Radiologists).
Dawson Creek has a new hospital build in the works and we anticipate opening in 2027. Radiology services at Dawson Creek Hospital include:
• Interventional Radiology
• MRI (TBA)
• CT scanners multi detector/multi slice/Dual energy
• Breast Imaging Centre with tomosynthesis mammography
• Ultrasound
• X-Ray
• Nuclear Medicine
Prospective Radiologists MUST be proficient in mammography and basic image guided procedures. Modalities available include Fluoroscopy, ultrasound, mammography, CT, nuclear medicine and MRI.
Candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in radiology (FRCPC) and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC).
